2/28/2008 - Shaq Sighting, in Zoe's!

Met "The Diesel" in front of Copenhagen (Camelback/16th St.; he ate @ Zoe's and walked over to the Sports Authority) right before he got into his semi-trailer truck. He was so personable, soft-spoken and laid back (EXACTLY like what I'd heard from people who had met him!), and posed for a multitude of photos with several people -- including kids -- who came over to him.

Blew me & others away who were standing up by the Starbucks window across the way to see him walk around the shopping center by himself! (albeit there was someone in the semi-trailer truck passenger seat - a guy. His agent? His realtor?). It was like watching a giant roam through the parking lot towering over the cars.

My first thought when I pulled into the lot was: "Man that guy is tall! Maybe that's Shaq! Gotta be ... No way! Nah, gotta be a coincidence...a VERY BIG MAN that resembles Shaq. He'd probably be trolling around Scottsdale or PV or something -- not the Biltmore area!" Turns out it WAS unmistakably Shaq!!! He's almost two feet taller than me!!! He's 7' 1" and I'm 5' 6." That equates to 19 inches, or 1' 7" more than me.
